根据华盛顿特区警察局指出，11日凌晨3时30分，一名女子在Macomb Street召Uber，一轮四门的银色轿车驶子，女子不疑有诈上车，没想到是恶梦的开始。司机拿出刀子威胁女子再向她性侵。受害人最终得以逃脱，事主形容嫌犯年约30岁的中东裔男子。
