阿富汗東部強震至少1000人喪命 聯合國出手援助
阿富汗官員22日表示,境內東部的偏遠邊境地區在一夜之間遭規模6.1強震侵襲,至少有1000人死亡、數百人受傷,隨著救難人員在倒塌民房中拚命挖掘,預計傷亡人數將持續增加。

美國地質調查所(USGS)指出,這起強震發生於巴基斯坦邊界附近,震央在距離阿富汗東南部城市柯斯特(Khost)約44公里處。
災情嚴重的巴克迪卡省(Paktika)資訊和文化部門負責人胡紮法(Mohammad Amin Huzaifa)表示:「民眾正一個接一個地挖著墳墓。」他還說,光是巴克迪卡省就有至少1000人喪命。
他告訴記者:「當地還在下雨,所有房屋都震毀。民眾仍被困在瓦礫堆之下。」
隨著難以到達的偏遠山區傳來傷亡消息,死亡人數一整天來不斷增加,阿富汗最高領袖艾昆薩達(Hibatullah Akhundzada)已經警告說,強震造成的死亡人數可能會進一步攀升。

稍早,巴克迪卡省一位部落首領指出,倖存者和救難人員正忙著幫助那些受影響的災民。
曼佐(Yaqub Manzor)透過電話告訴法新社:「當地市場已經關閉,所有人都已趕往受災地區。」
貼在社群媒體上的照片和影片顯示,這些偏遠鄉村地區有許多嚴重受損的泥屋。
部分畫面顯示,當地民眾將災民送上軍用直升機。
聯合國人道事務協調廳(OCHA)已經在第一份回應公告中表示,人道合作夥伴正準備與阿富汗塔利班(Taliban)當局協調,以協助巴克迪卡省和柯斯特省(Khost)的受災戶。
聯合國人道事務協調廳指出,確定的直接需求包括緊急創傷照護、緊急避難和非糧食物品、糧食援助,還有水、公共衛生和個人衛生等支援。
