阿富汗东部强震至少1000人丧命 联合国出手援助
阿富汗官员22日表示,境内东部的偏远边境地区在一夜之间遭规模6.1强震侵袭,至少有1000人死亡、数百人受伤,随着救难人员在倒塌民房中拼命挖掘,预计伤亡人数将持续增加。

美国地质调查所(USGS)指出,这起强震发生于巴基斯坦边界附近,震央在距离阿富汗东南部城市柯斯特(Khost)约44公里处。
灾情严重的巴克迪卡省(Paktika)资讯和文化部门负责人胡扎法(Mohammad Amin Huzaifa)表示:「民众正一个接一个地挖著坟墓。」他还说,光是巴克迪卡省就有至少1000人丧命。
他告诉记者:「当地还在下雨,所有房屋都震毁。民众仍被困在瓦砾堆之下。」

稍早,巴克迪卡省一位部落首领指出,幸存者和救难人员正忙着帮助那些受影响的灾民。
曼佐(Yaqub Manzor)透过电话告诉法新社:「当地市场已经关闭,所有人都已赶往受灾地区。」

联合国人道事务协调厅(OCHA)已经在第一份回应公告中表示,人道合作伙伴正准备与阿富汗塔利班(Taliban)当局协调,以协助巴克迪卡省和柯斯特省(Khost)的受灾户。
